Upon testing the email account:

If I delete an email from within the Mail app it also deletes it from the Comcast site.. used to be that the Mail app was independent of the Comcast site - I could download email into Mail and then it would act independently of the Comcast site.
If I read an email from within the Mail app it also marks it as being read when I view my email on my computer - again, the linked nature of the Mail app and the online Comcast server that I don't want.
